1933  Pirton’s new Village Hall was opened in 1933. Apart from grants, the money needed for building was raised over a number of years by holding local events, especially Fetes held on August Mondays. The wing next to the school was financed by the Hertfordshire County Council for use by the school and the other wing by the Men’s Social Club as their meeting room.
