A two storey house currently subdivided into 2 dwellings with rendered elevations under a steep pitched tile clad roof. There is a large central chimney stack with a more modern chimney to the western gable and modern single storey extension, and a substantial modern 2 storey extension to the eastern end.

The house was substantially damaged in September 1944 by a V1 doodlebug bomb which landed on The Bury, destroying the thatched outbuildings and blowing the tiles from the roof. At this time the house was divided into 3 cottages.
