The database of documents
The Pirton Local History Group began working on a village database in July 2002. The aim of this Access-based archive is that this database will eventually hold all the historical records of the village, which will enable any researcher to build up a historical picture of the village. Many villagers are involved with this community project.
Documents have been collected, transcribed and input into Excel spreadsheets and then some of them have been imported into an access database. The money is pounds, shillings, pence halfpennies and farthings.
